“The Government led by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Dato ‘Sri Ismail Sabri Bin Yaakob is very concerned about the OKU community and the formulation of the OKU Policy is the Government’s commitment in ensuring that OKU get equal rights and opportunities for full participation in society. The same concern is also shown among the IPT families where in the 2022 Mandate of the Minister of Higher Education, I have emphasized the need for infrastructure and facilities to be provided preferably to the disabled, ”he explained.

The development of this application began with an effort to meet the demands of the Malaysian Muslim Deaf Association (PRISMA) and the Negeri Sembilan Association of the Deaf (NESDA) as early as 2015 to learn the Quran in accordance with their hearing and speaking disabilities. Once developed and going through several phases of development, the app is now ready for use by deaf community users around the world.

The uniqueness of this application further qualifies it to receive Malaysia Book of Records recognition as the “First Sign Language Al-Quran Application”.
